Why should I hire a Personal Trainer?
A personal trainer serves as a coach to motivate you to develop good habits around fitness and nutrition. Most people need guidance and clear direction when developing these habits into daily life. If you are like most people, you have a "life team" comprised of doctors, financial advisors, clergy, home assistants and more. You trust these individuals. They can guide you through indecision and direct you to the quickest and safest results possible. A trainer does that and is simply another valued member of your "life team."
How long do I have to work out before I actually see results?
Fitness has a cumulative effect. Meaning, you can't rush or put yourself through a few particularly gruelling workouts and expect to erase years of over eating, drinking, or smoking. However, the more consistent you are with your exercise, the more apparent the results will be. Generally speaking, if you are consistent with your exercise, getting adequate recuperation, and you are eating appropriately, you should begin to see noticeable results with cardio ability and strength in 4 to 6 weeks.
What's most important in losing fat, cardio or weight lifting?
Both! You should really consider alternating between the two. That is why I have designed the 3 style workouts I have. Although you would burn more calories during a cardio routine, weight lifting will actually help you build muscle which will in-turn burn more calories between workouts. So a blend between the two would and does suit most people.
