'Mums and Pram' classes are a great new fitness sensation designed specifically with mothers of young babies in mind.
With ‘Mums and Pram’, your baby is welcome and of course encouraged to join the class with you and your pram.
Having a new or young baby can leave many mums with feelings of isolation and limitations. Many mums have expressed their desire to participate in an exercise program but are dismayed by the lack of programs that recognise the specific needs of a new mother and her family.
With ‘Mums and Pram’, your baby is welcome to join the class with you. How is this possible? It’s easy. You put on your runners, strap baby into their pram and you’re both ready for action! Take a resistance band to with us as well as the pram and we are ready for action.
"Mums and Pram" is a fitness program that has been developed around the whole concept of mothers exercising while still being able to supervise baby in the pram at the same time. The pram is actually incorporated into many of the exercises so baby gets some ‘moving and grooving’ time while mum gets fit! They enjoy the fun to.
Pushing the pram and going for a walk has long been one of the few forms of exercise that mums with new babies have been able to utilise to build fitness and restore body strength after childbirth. I’m a great advocate for going for that walk, being active is what life is all about), but walking alone does limit the muscle groups that are being targeted. With “Mums and Bubs”, each class includes group exercises specifically selected to strengthen and tone the particular muscle groups that enable you to better cope with the many demands of motherhood.
Motivation is essential to any successful health and fitness program, the Mums and Bubs program is designed to maximise your own motivation through your own social groups rather than training or walking by yourself.
Included in the sessions are tips and techniques on adopting and maintaining better posture and of course the chance to chat and make new friends.
