"I have been training with Paul now for 7 weeks and sometimes feel like a crazy person getting up at 4 am to attend his 5 am sessions, but invariably when I arrive, there are usually 6 - 7 other "crazy" people (mostly women) doing the same thing. During our time together, the dark changes to dawn and then the sun rises - it is a magical time of day and whilst I often feel exhausted at the end of training, later in the day I feel exhilarated and more energised. Unlike regular gym style training Paul actually watches how you are doing things & corrects you when required or makes it harder if he thinks you are doing it too easy! The continual encouragement when you are working so hard it hurts and the pushing when you are slacking off make these sessions worth every penny. Paul also makes the classes interesting by alternating the style eg circuit, boxing, walking with weights, which keeps it interesting. But wait there is more! Paul also is a mine of information which he continually shares through informative emails and at the training sessions. Give a session a go, you'll never know unless you try it!"

Paul creates such a happy and fun environment that you feel like you want to push yourself just that bit extra. Gyms are so impersonal and no-one really pays any attention to what you are doing whereas Paul always gives gentle reminders on posture and the ways to get the most out of each exercise. You could go to a gym and pay $30- $50 for a half hour with a PT and not get anywhere as much enjoyment or benefit as 1 hour with Paul. I go to the gym regularly and yet it is always after training with Paul that I feel I have done my best and achieved just that extra bit. Each person is encouraged to work to their individual fitness level so even a beginner to exercise can join in and thoroughly enjoy and benefit from the training sessions. To anyone who just wants a great way to start the day and meet some new friends I would definitely recommend joining in training with Paul."

Before commencing with Paul at Your Local PT, I would have to say, I was very unfit, needed to lose a few kg and definitely needed a tone up. In the past, when embarking on an exercise program, whether its been The Local Gym, an aerobics class or a few laps at the local pool, the boredom has always set in after a few short weeks. I have now found the perfect way to change all those things, the classes are fun and friendly, and after your workout, you feel like you have really achieved something, what more could you ask for whilst gaining a new healthy you. Paul is a fantastic motivator, he is not just an instructor, he is passionate about helping each one of us reach our personal health and fitness goals. img_1140152784_10777_1140152784.gifWow, I feel great. Its 7:25 am and I have just had my shower after another of Paul’s morning sessions. I went Wed, Thurs and Fri this week, as I'm not the fittest person in the world I was worried I was pushing it. I feel GREAT.
Being a wife and mother (5 kids) mornings suit me and being outside with minimal noise suits me even better. I have found Paul’s knowledge very informative. The fact that he is fun and friendly and we can have an informative chat about sport or exercise or just a group chat on life is another bonus.
These classes are great fun and motivating, it becomes easier to get up at 4:40am as I feel results. TODAY I FEEL STRONG.

Last year he helped me get fit for an extensive overseas trip. This year he has helped me learn to run, assisted with rehabilitation from a broken elbow and generally helped my outlook on life. I recently ran the Bridge to Brisbane also and I never thought that would be possible.
On the days I just don’t feel like training, he is there, in my driveway, encouraging and cajoling me.

I’ve been going to Paul for about 2 years now. When I started at Paul I couldn’t do a proper sit up or push up so I was sceptical about my fitness and felt “I needed to get fitter” before I paid Paul a visit. This is not true. The one thing I love about all of Paul’s classes is the range of not only fitness levels but different personalities. No matter how much pain you feel you are in at the time there is always room for a laugh. Thank goodness Paul can take as much as he gives. I’ve always felt comfortable to ask any questions. Paul always spends that bit of extra time to make sure we are all doing the right things when it comes to our health. I feel stronger, healthier and happier since I’ve been going to the classes.

I had always been a relatively fit person, doing triathlons and fun runs when I was younger.  Yet somehow due to work, family and all those other things that seem to get in the way I found myself a 38 year old man with the beginnings of a paunch and an elevated cholestorol level.  I was looking to find a means of exercise that would fit into my lifestyle and give me the flexibility to attend casually and not cost me money simply because I was unable to attend at a set time on a set day.  Fortunately some of the mothers at my childs school put me on to Paul and I haven't looked back, that was 3 months ago.  I have lost my little bit of tummy and I am feeling fit and healthy again.  The beauty of what Paul has set up is he runs classes at different times in the morning and evening and I always seem to be able to fit my group sessions with him in around my family and work commitments.  Paul is a very friendly instructor who always seems to have time for the individual even in group sessions.  We give him a lot of friendly stick and he always takes things in the spirit they are intended and we all have a lot of fun even at 5 in the morning.  I would thoroughly recommend Paul as an instructor for both Men and Women.

I have been attending Paul's 5am classes at Arana Hills for about 2 years and I am now completely addicted to them.  I am loving the variety he puts into his classes, and the extra challenge he consistently provides.  I have a noticed a dramatic difference to my fitness, and I now actually enjoy running.  My general strength and muscle tone has also improved.  On top of the fitness benefits, the social aspect of meeting up with a group people each week is great.  I would absolutely recommend Paul's classes to anyone who wants a bit of variety in their fitness regime, and who likes (or needs) a bit of motivation and a challenge.

I have been training under Paul’s watchful eye for over 2 years now, which is a record for me to remain committed over that period of time. I had previously joined gyms and went for maybe 2 months at max but then lost motivation this use to happen to me  on a regular basis and too top it off apart from not raising my fitness level it was very costly as well!!! I know I have stuck with Paul because of his excellent skills in fitness training and personal motivation
 
I started under Paul as a one on one client and it was rewarding right from the start, he took an interest in me and identified problems with my body’s balance. He has helped me improve this through specific exercises and expert advice on running shoes etc. I now attend group classes and while sometimes missing that one on one intensity & attention, I find the friendships created by similar drives of others wanting to get fit very rewarding and motivating.
 
I was 97Kg when I first started I am now at 87,  decreasing and loving it.

Mums and Bubs Testimonial
I had every excuse in the book covered. I hadn't exercised since falling pregnant with my first child 3 1/2 years ago; I was too tired to exercise; I had just had my second baby - 12 weeks old at the time;  I'm still breast feeding; I won't know anyone; and worst of all I'm too fat to get out in public and do something about it.  Then one day, early in to the new year, I received one of Paul's flyers in my letterbox offering one free session.  In a very rare moment of bravery, I phoned Paul and committed to joining him for a Mums and Bubs training session.  It was the exact thing I needed to get me moving again.  Slowly, all of my excuses started not to matter.  The workout wasn't easy, but I surprised myself with what I could do.  I actually felt proud of myself for making the effort to do something.  Paul creates such a safe environment for me to just be myself and work at my own pace, but he can always get that little bit more out of me than I ever knew was possible.  I felt so comfortable with Paul and the other Mums that I have been going  back each week, and trust me, I'm not usually one to commit long term to an exercise plan...but this time it feels different.  I am sure the difference is having Paul take an active interest in my health and fitness, and not just take the my money and move on to the next person.  It sounds cliche but he does actually care.  I look forward to my training session with Paul each week and it has become a regular diary entry which other activities are now planned around.  Before I met Paul, I would be looking for any reason to cancel a workout.  Come along and give it ago, I highly recommend the Mums and Bubs training session.  (P.S.  I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight which never believed could have happened.   Thank goodness I made that phone call to Paul earlier this year.)
