Dean is from Albany Creek in North Brisbane. My previous occupation before starting personal training was as a mechanic. I was in this trade for 14 years until I decided to move to being a personal trainer as this was my passion and still is.
While living in Sydney 9 years ago I competed in many triathlons and duathlons and maintained a heavy amount of training each day to achieve this. Training which consisted of 500m swim, 30km ride and 4km run, each day, 4-5 days per week. Add to this weekend mountain bike rides through the Blue Mountains fitness was my way of life.
Moving to Airlie Beach 7 years ago I continued to train to a less extent continuing with a focus on mountain bike riding.
For the last 5 years living in Brisbane I have carried out heavy resistance training with the hope of competing in bodybuilding competitions in the near future.
I have been training friends and family for the last 2 years and completed Certificates III and IV in fitness last year.
Carrying out some work experience with Paul was very beneficial. My knowledge has increased and now I am able to return the favour by carrying out some work with Your Local PT.
